This might just be my favorite wedding I’ve EVER captured—and I’ve photographed a lot of dreamy celebrations. But something about this morning wedding at Kaimana Beach Hotel felt extra special. From the deeply personal moments to the fun, low-key energy (and did I mention the BRUNCH?!), it was the kind of day you never forget.
Starting the Day with a First Look + a Sentimental Stop
The couple kicked things off with a first look on the balcony of their hotel room—simple, sweet, and glowing in that golden morning light. Afterward, they greeted guests in the hotel lobby as they arrived, which made everything feel cozy and personal.
One of the most heartwarming moments? We walked to Russell’s Convenience Store right outside the hotel—where they actually met by the back refrigerators. We recreated that first interaction, and it was the kind of candid magic I LIVE for as a photographer.

Post-ceremony, guests were welcomed into the reception room, filled with playful pops of color, personalized napkins featuring their dog Perrito, and even a guest canvas instead of a guest book. The bride wore a timeless gown paired with a multi-strand pikake lei, which added such a soft, cultural touch to her look.
Oh and did I mention the bottomless mimosas and brunch spread? Truly a wedding after my own heart.
Celebrating into the Afternoon at Hana Koa Brewing
After brunch wrapped up, the couple headed over to Hana Koa Brewing to keep the party going with even more friends. Laid-back, fun, and totally them—this whole day was proof that weddings don’t have to follow any rules. Just bring the love, your people, and maybe a mimosa or two.
