Jamee + James’ Two-Day Elopement Celebration


10/10 recommend having a 2 day elopement in Hawaii!! Jamee and James did eloped their way—splitting it into two days, keeping it intimate, and soaking in every moment. From a private boat ride at Kualoa to a sunset ceremony at another fave beach (just them, their officiant, and me), to celebrating with family a few days later in Waikiki, it was everything and then some!! Laid-back, meaningful, and full of adventure. Ugh couldn't be more obsessed with these two!!

HOW TO ELOPE IN HAWAII


After capturing so many elopements on island, here are some of my thoughts and what I've found has worked best for the couple and the flow of the day!! 👇


Here are some things to consider:

  • Location, location, location 👏 Hawaii has no bad views, but choosing one that fits your vibe—beach, jungle, cliffs, mountains—is everything. Each location was *chefs kiss* for Jamee and James.
  • Officiant? In Hawaii, you’ll need an officiant, but you can still keep things intimate with just the two of you.
  • Timing matters! Sunrise or sunset is your best friend for dreamy lighting (go for sunrise if you want the beach to yourself 😉 )
  • A photographer who gets you. Find a photog who will guide you, hype you up, and document your day in a way that actually feels like you.


2 DAY ELOPEMENT TIMELINE


Day 1:

  • Morning: Private boat ride to the beach where we took some of the most beautiful portraits everrrr with the Ko‘olau Mountains in the background. :')
  • Midday: Quick drive to Kahana Bay for their intimate ceremony—literally just them, their officiant, and me, soaking in all the love.
  • Afternoon: Ran into the ocean in their wedding attire because why not?!


Day 2: Family Celebration

  • Morning: Met up at Kaimana Beach Hotel for some sweet family portraits.
  • Afternoon: Wrapped it all up with a cozy lunch at Hau Tree. No stress, no fuss, just good food and good vibes.
