MAKAI TO MAUKA ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
The dreammmiieessttt engagement sessions with these two lovers! We went from the ocean to the mountains to not only capture a different vibe, but to also capture Hawaii and all of its beauty. Oahu is SO diverse, so of course we had to do two engagement sessions to get the full experience!
Why do one engagement session when you can do TWO! That's exactly what these two lovers did!
This couple had two different engagement sessions before their wedding day, so we got to celebrate a ton and spend a lot of time together before wedding day which was amazing getting to know them both better! I went to high school with Haunani (the bride) and played soccer with her as we were growing up, so shooting her wedding was SO special.
The first session was a fun and playful day at the beach, and the second session was at a gorgeous botanical gardens with more of a romantic and laid-back feel to it. Both were SO stunning and each session told a different part of their love story! I loved seeing how in love with each other they were. Any prompt I would give them, like, "give her a big cuddle and spin around" or, "give her a bunch of kisses along her jawline" came so naturally to them - it was ADORABLE, easy, effortless, and so romantic!
OUTFITS
Not to mention how fun their outfit choices were! The first time was more casual with jeans and tops and they got into the water, and for the second engagement session they opted for a more playful summer vibe with Haunani wearing a bright orange dress.

THE COUPLE
Haunani and Wilson met in college in Washington and during the pandemic, decided to move back down to Oahu to be closer to family. Wilson decided it was the right time to propose on December 19, 2020 five years into their relationship.
I can tell they love to be super goofy and playful with each other and are so so in love! Photographing their engagement sessions and wedding was so easy because of how clearly in love they are with each other.
So here's your friendly reminder that you don't have to pick one over the other, you can always capture both! I can't wait to share their wedding!!
